ASBU SOCIAL IMPACT ANALYSIS LABORATORY IS BEING ESTABLISHED
It has been decided that the “ASBU-SİM Impact Lab Project” prepared by the Social Innovation Center (ASBU-SİM) team will be supported within the scope of the Ankara Development Agency 2019 Social Entrepreneurship and Social Innovation Financial Support Program. The project implementation process will be carried out in cooperation with Altındağ Municipality.
ASBU-SİM Impact Lab Project aims to establish a social laboratory by developing institutional capacity at our university regarding social impact analysis in society through legislation, policy, program and project implementation aimed at meeting social expectations and solving problems. Social Impact Lab will contribute to the mission of producing information that will contribute to society as an important core of our university’s “interdisciplinary social sciences research infrastructure” perspective.
Social Impact Analysis supports the decision-making processes of responsible institutions and authorities with accurate data for the correct development of policies, effective implementation of decisions and efficient use of resources. Thus, it will be possible to continuously review, improve and develop the decisions and practices of social structures, especially public institutions and organizations, from a social perspective. In addition, the social effects of changes in social life with the application of rapidly developing technologies are also considered an important need. Thus, realistic data and analysis will be provided in the context of important market research and user feedback for entrepreneurs who realize social innovation.
With the implementation of the project, a method will be developed for the social impact analysis of the policies and services provided by public institutions and local governments and various applications will be carried out. At the end of the project, a “Social Impact Analysis Model for Local Governments” based on scientific principles and supported by field work will be presented. Support will be provided for the model to be developed to be applicable throughout Türkiye.
