Social Innovation Tendency in Public and Social İmpacts in Turkey
The project is supported by Social Sciences University of Ankara Scientific Research Project Coordinator unit is a comprehensive research project.
The aim of the project is that through tendencies, determination of social impact and capacity of social innovation in public in Turkey, how social innovation phenomena in Turkey is perceived from public perspective; depending on this perception, to determine development potential of tendencies, determination of social impact and capacity of social innovation in public in Turkey.
The project is run through two focuses. Firstly, social innovation and entrepreneurship potential in public sector will be explored by taking into consideration the impact of public sector and policies on social innovation in the developing countries. In the second part, the social impacts of social innovation policies and applications which are identified by the state will be evaluated by using of social impact analysis
Project of ASBU- Social Inovation Center
It is the first project supported by Ankara Development Agency and plays an important role in the process of establishment and institutionalization of SIM. The project, which will last 12 months, started in June of 2016. Within the scope of the project, local and international collaborations on social innovation as well as activities such as awareness of social innovation, awareness raising activities, establishment and functionalization of SIM, initiation of social innovation trainings, social innovation project market regulation, and to follow up new trends.
Project of Sosyokent Technology Development Zone Feasiblity Study
At the end of 2016, a feasibility report about the vision of ASBU-Sosyokent was prepared within the scope of the direct activity support from the Ankara Development Agency.
The process of preparing the feasibility report included not only based on the data gathered at the desk but also on-site investigation and observation. Within the scope of the project, the technological development areas in Ankara were examined and weak and strong aspects were determined with the interviews conducted. Similarly, public agencies' policy-making processes related to social issues and the difficulties they have experienced have been analyzed.
Stakeholder idea development workshops were organized with the participation of civil society organizations, private sector, Technology Development Zones, universities and public institutions, and different stakeholders in the workshop contributed to the Sosyokent vision. It was aimed to put the feasibility report on a more robust level with practical studies, visits, interviews and workshops. At the end of the project, a large part of the feasibility report was translated into English, the produced report was presented to relevant stakeholders, and the criticism and suggestions aimed at making the report better.
